Colby has recently starred in several viral video ads for Economical Undies and rumors are going around he is moving to San Diego to start his hold underwear line soon. He has so much going on, I had to ask him, "15 Questions."

1. What were you love as a child? How are you different now?
Growing up I live on a horse farm in the middle of nowhere, so I didn't contain a lot of other kids to play with. When you're living in the country, your imagination is your best comrade. You learn to save yourself entertained with nothing more than dirt and sticks. My mother always encouraged my creativity and imagination. I think that's where I get a lot of my artistic inspiration today. I still feel like I never grew up from the kid who turned a cardboard box into a superhero hideout. Considering I still wear a cape around the house, I guess not much has changed.

Colby Melvin on Coming Out and Politics

A not many months ago, I posted about the model Colby Melvin.  If you don’t know who he is, then I think you should. Born in the deep South, Colby Melvin was brought up to be a gentleman, but his mother taught him early on that to produce a difference in this world, you need to be a little bit “hell raiser” too! So, it isn’t surprising that Colby has quickly change into one of the most public activists in the combat for marriage equality across the region. Colby holds rapidly to his core beliefs of honesty, civility, honesty and kindness and has used them as the basis for his commitment to raise awareness for LGBT issues. Combining his passion for politics with his love of business, Colby emerged as a top spokesmodel for Andrew Christian. Soon after, he began working with Full Frontal Liberty, a coalition of independent artists and media executives – using their talent and creativity to raise awareness and enhance civil discourse. It was his first video with Full Frontal Release, a parody of a popular One Direction hit, that garnered Colby national attention for his willingness to publicly fight for the causes he b

The model and LGBT activist, who garnered national attention as the lead in Collective Conscience's anti-Romney video "Disclose" in 2012, has been a very vocal voice for marriage equality as the Supreme Court hears the landmark cases. Melvin, who is recently engaged to his partner Brandon Robert Brown, has been out front on the issue since his starring role made him a favorite with the worldwide gay people and he isn't shying away from being very vocal in the fight now that these cases are in front of the highest court in the land.

"This is a fight for love. It is that simple," said Melvin. "I am in love with an amazing dude and want to spend the rest of my life with him. I want to commit him, spend our lives together and hopefully raise children one day. I don't want my children to have to witness this same fight. My right to marry the person I love has no effect on any other person's marriage – gay or straight – and I pray the court does the right thing."

Melvin and Brown have done several interviews about their recent engagement and th

However, one of his bosses discovered that Colby was gay, which unfortunately led to corporate bullying. Even so, Colby stood his ground, determined not to hide his sexual orientation. He came out to friends and his family and left the Gulf of Mexico job, immediately shifting his career emphasis to LGBT activism, with exceptional emphasis on marriage equality.

Colby now works as a spokesmodel for Full Frontal Freedom (FFF), a coalition of independent artists and media executives who utilize their talent and creativity to increase awareness and increase civil discourse.
