The Good, The Horrible, (And The Ugly?) Of Dragon Age’s Queerness

Dragon Age has always been homosexual, and anyone who says otherwise either hasn't been paying attention, is grifting, or both. But what's interesting is specifically how gay Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and the ways in which it shows this queerness, is. From the Rook to the cast to the romances, queerness flows through everything Dragon Age: The Veilguard does. But is it all for the best? I'm not so sure.

It's at this point that I throw rotten tomatoes at those cheering in the audience. I still admire that Dragon Age: The Veilguard is queer, and some of what I saw behind closed doors, as good as the way the devs spoke openly about the passion for diversity, gave me a lot of pray for this installment. I like that it's gay, and my reservations aren't that it's 'too gay'. But that's not to speak I'm not not concerned.

A Fresh Peak For Steady Character Creators

My first idea as I watched the dev grab us through Dragon Age: The Veilguard's character creator at Summer Game Fest was 'okay, everyone can shut up about Cyberpunk 2077 now'. I possess long taken issue with Cyberpunk 2077'

Gay Option

Riding the bull is truly the horniest option.

When a video game—usually a dedicated Intimacy Game, RPGs, or Wide-Open Sandbox—allows the player to pursue a love interest of the matching gender alongside a bevy of heterosexual options.

This trope has increased in prevalence since the late 2000s due to increased noticeability of queer people. And as an interactive medium, it's possible for a game to involve such content while giving those uninterested in same-sex relationship the option of skipping it. This means that games that include adoration have increasingly allowed the protagonist the option to relationship a few characters of the identical gender.

When the story is built around the love affair as opposed to the romance organism a sidequest, then it overlaps with Queer Romance. For Japanese games where being gay is not just an option but the game itself is themed on it, see the v

Gay Representation in ChoiceScript games?

Dark_Stalker:

Isn’t anything with panic in the title a valid murder defense, at the very least from 1st degree to 2nd? At the largest to voluntary manslaughter? With our American murder definitions? Though I’d probably just stack hate crime on it.

I don’t really grasp much about the legal system when it comes to other murder-related issues, to be honest
The big issues with “gay panic” is what it represents, rather than the title, though… it represents that someone can kill a gay person for hitting on them… or just for existence perceived as hitting on them… and that’s supposed to be a justification that makes it more okay.

It’s the sort of thing that can contribute to making being openly gay a bit more nervewracking

You’re too pleasant to not congratulate.

Thank you though I think this is the first moment I’ve been called “normy” for having a homosexual relationship… it’s actually quite nice I never consideration I would experience hostility for being the normal one

So if I may say, as one gay male to another, some problems I own with those points.

Time for another gay male to join in

I must say th
