Gay Gillespie Valimont is a devoted mother and gun violence prevention activist. Her extensive background in healthcare and community advocacy positions her as a strong candidate capable of effecting positive change for her constituents.

Born in Thomaston, Georgia, Gay earned her bachelor's degree from Georgia Southern University in 1996 and a graduate degree from Troy State University in 2000. Her professional experience includes active as an athletic trainer, where she utilized her healthcare expertise to refine the well-being of her community. This background has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system and the challenges faced by both providers and patients.
